If You Go Down to The Woods Today

Despite the forecast for biblical downpours, today turned out to be a beautiful sunny day and taking full advantage I took off, with the kids, to one our our favourite walks.
Glenbarrow Waterfall in the Slieve Blooms is stunning while there are many fabulous walks in the Slieve Blooms, this walk is our family's favourite.
The recent deluge meant that the waterfall and river were incredibly swollen and the powerful noise of the water was a great reminder of the power behind it.
There were a number of trees down to which the children were thrilled about as they made great obstacles for climbing.
We met lots and lots of walkers, all keen to make the most of the beautiful day.
Healthy red cheeks, a great appetite and an early bedtime were the lovely side effects of this fabulous afternoon.

One of the numerous 'statues' we discovered!
Hi ho, hi ho....
Admiring the power of the water..

Peek a boo...
Sisterly love...

My little tree huggers...
Plenty of mud to keep little people happy..
